Birthday Presents

I don’t know when it happened, but one day I grew up and started giving myself birthday presents.  Now, every year, I do it whether I think about it consciously or not.  This year, I gave myself the gift of concert tickets – lots of concert tickets.

This Saturday, I am going to see the Zac Brown Band in a smaller venue in Salt Lake.

I’m really looking forward to it.  And because it is in a small space it will feel much more intimate.

Then, I also bought the MegaTicket that USANA Amphitheater does.  It is four concerts from June to September.  Now that is a gift that keeps on giving and I can look forward to it all summer long.  I saw two concerts there last year: George Straight and Brad Paisley.  It is nice to sit on the lawn and enjoy a good country show.

This year, the tickets include:

Montgomery Gentry, Little Big Town, Jack Ingrum and many more in the Country Throwdown.  I’m way excited for all these great bands and hours upon hours of entertainment.

Tim McGraw with Lady Antelbellum – love, love, love!

Toby Keith – I’m not such a big fan of him, but . . . . we’ll see who comes with him (it hasn’t been announced yet)

Brad Paisley with Darius Rucker – totally stoked for this one!

All in all – I think these were excellent gifts to myself.  Happy Birthday to me!

So, I was going to send you a really great Happy Birthday text, but time flew by and I didn’t have a chance to do it before it was too late. Anyhow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Your present is on the way! :)

Love ya! Melissa
