I’m BAAACK!

in Leaving Stepford

Did you miss me?  I missed you.  No, I really did.  I don’t really know who reads my blog unless you make comments, but I have a little tracker that tells me how many people a day look at my blog and I know you’re out there.   I just don’t know who you are. But I’d like to give a little “shout out” to Heather, Holly, Mandy, my Mom, and Ruth.  I know that y’all read my craziness on a regular basis.

Okay, okay.  So most “strangers” that look at my blog are doing so because of my post on Glee, Cappucine Monks, and my Aperture posts – but hey, they come and read and I appreciate.

Anyways . . . Where was I?  Did I disappear?  No, not really.  I went to Florida for a little over a week.  I’ve been back since Wednesday, but have been way busy and really sick.  I don’t travel well.  The Stepford in me doesn’t like the change in such a short period of time.  And I can’t really sleep on planes, next to strangers.  What if I fall over on them, or snore.  Nope.  Can’t do it.

Over the next few days, I’m going to be posting about some things I did on my trip.  Here is a short list:

  • My cousin Jared got married. We went to the fancy wedding.  I loved it!  My parents were a tad uncomfortable.  It was great!
  • Kennedy Space Center.
  • Tried to watch the shuttle launch and utterly failed to see it.
  • Disney World – Epcot
  • Disney World – Animal Kingdom
  • Cocoa Beach
  • Practiced taking photo’s with my fancy camera.
  • Spent time with extended family that I hadn’t seen in years and years.  Really it is shameful how long it has been.

When I got home, I had 76 blog posts to read on my google reader!  Whew!

Originally I had planned to blog while I was in Florida, but we were so busy that it just didn’t happen.  Oh well.

As a side note – I had 3 former students come to visit on Friday.  They wanted to volunteer.  So in three hours they graded assignments and put in all the grades into the computer.  They got through my weeks worth of grading!  It was awesome!  That gave me the chance to take naps this weekend and hopefully get better instead of grading.  Whoo hooo!

First, that is AWESOME about your students. Blessings, blessings.
Second, I’m really glad you didn’t blog during your trip. I missed reading, but hello, adventures are meant to be enjoyed while you can. Blogging can happen anytime. Or not at all and that’s okay to. Cheers for enjoying your vacation.
