A few weeks ago, Brad Paisley was in town and I went with some friends to his concert. I love going to country western concerts, not because I love the music, which I do, but to see what everyone is wearing. It is always good to see whose boots are dirty because they actually wear them on a regular basis, and whose boots are brand spanking new because they don’t actually wear cowboy boots.
The place that the concert was at is an outdoor amplitheater. So we arrived early to get some good seats and enjoy one of the last warm evenings of summer.

Here are my friends Corby, Kristy, and Nicole. We sat and chatted for a good hour and a half before the concert began. (By the way, Corby is a real cowboy. He even owns his own horses. Not that you couldn’t tell. Oh, and he’s singles ladies. I’m just sayin’ is all.)

I didn’t bring my good camera, so this was taken with my iPhone. Let me just say, that Brad Paisley was awesome!

But what really caught my attention was a few single gals and guys in front of us. They are standing next to the railing. (Sorry about the quality of picture. Again – it is my iPhone, late at night, and no flash) You see, these three guys were standing by us and spotted three single gals at the railing. So one dude walked up to them, chatted it up a bit, and then waved his friends over. They then spent the entire concert dancing and singing with these three lovely ladies they had just met.

I was stunned.
I was shocked.
I was in awe.
You see, I don’t know any guys who are like that.
A few months back, I wrote a post about needing to find more “Alpha Males” and I do believe I saw it in the flesh that night.
Let me just say – good for you boys and I’m proud of you. Keep up the good work!

I can’t see Corby’s boots and I know he’s a real cowboy! (It’s the shirt–nothing wrong with it, just “real cowboy” material.)
I’m amazed boys and girls really do things like what you observed! We tried every once in awhile in college for something like that, but I don’t know we ever achieved it successfully.
I’m stunned too. That never happened to me!
Corby sounds like a cowboy name!
I think stuff like you saw: guys hookin up with girls happens all the time…..just not with Mormon boys (I’m just sayin’)
I’m still waiting!!! A girl can dream.
I LOVE this post! And I love even more that you are advertising for my brother.
Totally made my day, I’m sure it will make his too!! This concert was so much fun! Glad you love them as much as I do!!
I love Brad!
I was lucky enough to be found by one of those go-getter boys so I do know they exist!
They’re just hard to find!
Thanks for the advertising. I had a good time too that night!
